With the eTrex Legend, GARMIN has loaded a full basemap of North and South America into one small unit. The Legend is also designed to provide precise GPS positioning using correction data obtained from the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). This product will provide position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving WAAS corrections.

Pros: Rugged. Easy to read in sunlight. Runs a long time on 2 batteries
Cons: Keeps losing reception.
Bottom Line: The Etrex Legend needs a perfectly clear sky with no cloud cover or trees in order to lock on to the satellites.

Pros: Small, allows you to find your location easily
Cons: Loses signal indoors and in dense urban areas / trees
Bottom Line: good for if you enjoy the outdoors, but for vehicle navigation its a little tough.
