Epinions Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion: Then Proceed On Your Way To Oblivion

by  kjell1979, top reviewer in Games ,  Apr 13, 2007
Pros: addictive, fantastic graphics, good dialog
Cons: buggy, loading times, needs more voice actors
The Bottom Line: By the Nine, this is a good game!
Review: Since the W ii hasn't come out with any games that interest me in some time, I decided last month to return to my X box 360. One series, I am now astonished I ignored for so long was ...

Epinions Why Settle For The Real World When You Have This? - Oblivion

by  awoolcott, top reviewer in Games ,  Apr 13, 2006
Pros: Massive gameworld with hundreds of quests
Cons: Character faces cause nightmares, repetitive voiceovers
The Bottom Line: Xbox 360: $400. Copy of Oblivion: $60. Annoying the hell out of town guards: Priceless.
Review: This new generation of gaming really hasn't been much different from the last; none of the Xbox 360 launch titles were the sort of game that couldn't be done on the Xbox or PS2, aside from the improved high-definition graphics and presentation. Many ...

Epinions Role Playing Games Go Next Gen! Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

by  Mike_Bracken, top reviewer in Games ,  Apr 11, 2006
Pros: Great graphics, solid story, tons of things to do.
Cons: The combat is still a little generic.
The Bottom Line: Oblivion is the first 360 game to really showcase what the console can do. If that weren't enough, it's a classic RPG to boot.
Review: Writing this review proved to be a great deal harder than I'd imagined. I think there are two reasons for this: First, Oblivion is a huge and multifaceted game. There's a lot of ground to cover and it's easy to concentrate on the few negatives while ...

Epinions The biggest RPG on Earth

by  dmagnetic,  Sep 28, 2008
Pros: 100 + hours of gameplay, next-gen. graphics, thoroughly explained tutorials, huge playable world.
Cons: Loading times, occasional lock up of system.
The Bottom Line: The game play & 100 hour game time makes Oblivion a stellar video game! Totally addictive & totally worthwhile.  Enjoy it!
Review: Let me start by saying Oblivion has set the standard for future RPG's (Role-Playing Games). No doubt by the rating I have given for this game, you can see that I think it's awesome. It's more than that... In a game where Pro's exceedingly weigh out ...

Epinions The sequel to morrowind is here and it is amazing

by  cobadee,  May 31, 2006
Pros: Great graphics, sound and gameplay Huge
Cons: Shorter than expected
The Bottom Line: In my opinion, this is one of the best games ever made.
Review: Morrowind was a game that came out in 2002. This is the sequal to it, and it is a whole lot better in basically every aspect. This is honestly the best rpg I have ever played, and I have played many. The game isn't perfect. First off the game is ...

Epinions Do you save the world, or go hunt some deer?

by  carl_lazarevic,  May 2, 2006
Pros: Graphics, Sound, game is looooooooong!
Cons: Main story, few glitches here and there, might be to long for some.
The Bottom Line: It offers the same gaming experience as buying Tomb Raider, Hitman, Thief 2, Baldurs Gate and Deus Ex on a single disk.
Review: Bathseda's Elder Scrolls series has always had a sort of love hate relationship with gamers in general. Some love the series for their massive open ended structure and absorbing narrative, while others end up hopelessly lost and pine for a game ...

Epinions Oblivion is a world of it's OWN!

by  nkretz,  Mar 31, 2006
Pros: Flawless graphics, Huge world full of adventure, endless gameplay, Game of the Year!
Cons: You could play this game forever, framerate problems, occasional glitch, loading
The Bottom Line: It's worth every penny. The hardcore will love this game to death. This game also welcome the newbies. Infinite gameplay possibilities make Oblivion a must on the Xbox 360.
Review: This game is Oblivion. Oblivion is the type of game that many gamers get the rare opportunity of finding. It's worth 60 dollars on the store shelf but for many this game will be priceless. 99 percent of the games out there have a definitive ending while ...

Epinions Oblivion gives addiction a new meaning

by  musicc,  Mar 15, 2008
Pros: Endless hours of fun, huge game, beautiful graphics
Cons: Should be classified as legally addicting
The Bottom Line: All I can really say is if you have a 360, computer, or PS3 buy this.
Review: I don’t normally endorse addictions especially with video game but with Oblivion I would be more than willing to make an exception. To be honest I never expected a video game to addict me so much, I don’t have a very addictive personality, but ...

Epinions Oblivion your Time away

by  chuckyj360,  Jun 17, 2006
Pros: just about everything, 200hrs gameplay
Cons: Graphical popup
The Bottom Line: You will get your moneys worth.
Review: An In-depth review on one of the best selling and one of the most critically acclaimed titles on the xbox360. While this game is a massive undertaking with a gigantic beautifully detailed world to explore and countless missions to figure out is it worth ...

Epinions Gigantic, Beautiful, Premature

by  robcataus,  May 17, 2006
Pros: Literally hundreds and hundreds of hours of gameplay.
Cons: A very significant portion of that time will be spent watching loading screens.
The Bottom Line: Only once in 4 or 5 years will a game leave me with the same sense of awe as this game did, and still is. Probably for a while.
Review: It is important that I preface my review with the foundation of my argument. Very simply, the game is huge, it is beautiful, it is infinitely replayable, but even the X-Box 360 lacks the power needed for this game. More than once has my game frozen ...
