Pros: Simple, strong, sturdy, easy cleaning, blends thick frozen food well
Cons: No safety switch
The Bottom Line: Buy this blender - simple and strong.
Review: I have been using a blender for the past 15 years or so that I bought for mixing drinks in college. It was a low-end model, but performed adequately for the occasional tasks for which I used it. Recently, however, I have begun drinking fruit smoothies ...

Epinions Fred Waring and his blender

by  leighway,  Apr 10, 2006
Pros: Sturdy, fast, powerful, smart design
Cons: Initially, not the prettiest thing I've ever seen, but it grows on you.
The Bottom Line: If you want to spend your money on a quality blender that lasts and does what its supposed to do, this is an excellent choice.
Review: Our 1 year old blender died and my husband and I began looking around for a replacement. After reading many reviews, honey surprised me with a Chili Red Waring blender. Though I had wanted something sturdy that would last and be worth the money ...

Epinions Waring PBB --- Built like it should be!

by  bdmcnamara,  Apr 4, 2008
Pros: Durable, functional, simple and heavy.
Cons: More expensive, simple and heavy.
The Bottom Line: This is like buying a piece of functional art. It'll outlive your grandchildren.
Review: I've read about how great the Professional Bar Blender (PBB) that Waring makes, but I'll share my experience. In the 20-30's Fred Waring was a very successful musician and big band leader. Had been a Architecture/Engineering student at Penn State. ...

Epinions Is it wrong to love a blender?

by  lornadoom,  Dec 16, 2003
Pros: Great looking, solid, performs well, easy to clean.
Cons: 3 prong plug - this small inconvenience is easily resolved with an adapter.
The Bottom Line: I'm very happy with my purchase and suspect I'll be using this beautiful blender for a LONG time. Check out the Waring MBB for additional reviews.
Review: I’m in agreement with other Epinion reviewers who have given The Waring PBB and the Waring MBB an enthusiastic thumbs up. I believe the only difference between the two models is that the MBB has a metal finish and the PBB has an enameled finish. ...

Epinions Returned the PBB209 for a Waring Pro MegaMix HPB300

by  vicnrich,  Sep 11, 2004
Pros: Attractive. Glass jar that's not too big. Heavy-duty base.
Cons: Not powerful enough to make a super-thick smoothie. Emits bad odor. Plastic lid stiff.
The Bottom Line: Several reviewers have noted they love the Waring PBB209. The more heavy duty, yet less attractive and costlier Waring Pro MegaMix HPB300 better suits my needs.
Review: This is the second blender I've purchased after reading positive Epinions.com reviews about them. I've been disappointed with both. I make a smoothie every morning for breakfast, with soy milk, flavor extracts, protein and cocoa powders, stevia, ...

Epinions Leaks, not powerful enough, expensive...

by  paterfamilia,  Aug 5, 2005
Pros: Looks nice.
Cons: Leaks. Insufficient power. Blade often spins freely and doesn't mash stuff up.
Review: This blender is supposed to be of 'professional' caliber, but if you subjected this to the kind of work load a blender receives at e.g. Jugo Juice, etc, it would break down after a few hours, in my opinion. We've had ours for a few years, and it's ...
